“You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”
- Buckminster Fuller

After many years looking for ways to “change society” I came to a realisation. That’s NOT the way to do it! Trying to “change” our current society is like trying to change a game of football into a game of tennis, it just isn’t practical. Society is too big, has too much inertia, is too set in its ways, and is too stubborn to change. Besides, it has been proven to me there are powerful vested interests who want to keep things the way they are. If that is the case, then how can we create the society many of us now desire?

Very simple… we simply start creating a new society ourselves from small beginnings and build upon it!

What this entails is creating a whole new harmonious society that runs in parallel with the old society!

This means creating a new parallel Support System; a new parallel Energy System; a new parallel Health System; a new parallel Agricultural System; a new parallel Educational System; a new parallel Communication System; a new parallel Transportation System, etc., etc. It will be a completely different, parallel system that operates in a natural way, where everyone benefits, not just the few.

We already have access to these systems and the technologies that are often associated with them, but they are currently not being supported. In fact they are being actively suppressed by powerful vested interests. However, it should be remembered this will only work if those involved operate by the age old principles many of which have been spoken about in religious and philosophical text, that are delineated in the New Paradigm Principles document.

New Society Vision

The vision is a new society with a mutual support system, where everyone has equal opportunities to pursue their passions (their dreams) in life. In turn, the products that result from these activities help support and expand the new society. The support system is resource-based rather than money-based. The system encourages and supports the development of environmentally beneficial technologies that are currently being suppressed. These technologies make our new society possible and include a new inexhaustible, non-polluting, inexpensive energy system as well as fully automated robotic manufacturing and service systems that do the more mundane things. Resources are now being used without waste and this is helping reverse past environmental damage.

At the time of writing this new society cannot be formed while under the influence of the old system – it has to be started in an isolated location that is independent and autonomous. It also needs to have people who understand how this new society operates; for it operates under different “principles” from the old society. These Principles have been formulated and will be part of a training program for those who participate in the experiment. Establishing such a society in isolation will enable it to develop in a self-sustaining fashion.

Once this has been achieved in one location, a similar activity will be started in another location to make sure it works there too. Many such mini-societies will be established. These will then interact with each other as, and when it is appropriate. In due course, they will spread by themselves because they will be what people want.

The new society system will run in parallel with the existing system. It will not be set up in competition with the existing system – it is to be set up as a complementary system that operates alongside, but in isolation from the old one. Then, as the new system grows the old one can shrink, without stress or strain, in a perfectly natural way, as and when, it is appropriate.

This can happen very easily and is basically very simple.

Getting Started

For three years I have been looking out for and assessing suitable locations that would be supportive of creating a mini-society as described above. Several possibilities have been presented but the one that complies with the requirements the best is in New Zealand. It would be located on Maori land and would be established in conjunction with Renaissance Aotearoa Foundation http://www.aroha.org/.

There are many reasons why I consider this location the best choice not least of which is that the NZ government not only allows Maori autonomy but also encourages them to become self-sufficient. Following is a brief description how this can occur.

Mutual Support System

Before assets, new technologies and expertise can be transferred (see below) to the new society a “mutual support system” will be established – a system that supports everyone in the society and everyone in turn supports the society.

I use the term ‘mutual support system’ rather than an ‘alternative economic system’. Economics is a completely different concept that involves the notion of a medium of exchange, i.e. currency (usually money), two-way exchange of goods and/or services and a means to “control and track” them. The new system does not use or need a medium of exchange, or money, or control, or tracking of resources – and is self-regulating.

The SP Model

The first step is to have a model to work with – like an architect’s plan for a building.

Actually, Nature (God's brilliant creation) has already designed one for us. I call it the Strawberry Patch Model. I understand this is similar to the system known in part, as "Aloha" in the Hawaiian Islands and also the pre-Maori culture in New Zealand before western civilisation interrupted things.

All we have to do is mimic the operating principles of the strawberry patch; i.e. a system where “every plant is connected to every other plant” through a network of stolons (interconnecting stems) where nourishment (support for constructive growth) simply flows to where it is needed the most. A plant that needs extra nourishment simply draws from the whole patch. Conversely, when a plant has surplus nourishment it flows to the whole patch.

The advantage of this system is that individual plants and the whole patch benefit, and what’s more, it doesn’t have to be controlled, tracked or manipulated. It is a mutual support system based on; one-for-all, and all-for-one!

Resource-Based

A resource-based support system utilises resources rather than money, and provides an equitable method of distribution in the most humane and efficient manner for the entire population. It is a system in which all natural, man-made, machine-made, and synthetic resources are available without the use of money, credit, barter or any other form of debt. It can easily produce all of the necessities of life and provide a very high standard of living for everyone. Growth –

Value-Adding-Based

Growth is value-adding-based, i.e. adding value to existing resources. Value adding is what actually creates true wealth as distinct from money. The new system will not need, or use money except as a means of transferring resources from the old system to the new. Transactions would initially be tracked by computer (recording where the nourishment is flowing to and from).

This would be done in the same way the LET System currently operates (see below).

This would allow some control as initially there would be limited resources to draw on and they would need to be directed where they would be most effectively used.To make all this happen one other factor is needed, i.e. a place where transfer of resources from the old system to the new system can take place.

To get this most easily started what is needed is:

A “foundation” or similar entity through which assets such as real estate, equipment, technology, money, etc. can be transferred into the new society. Money placed in the foundation would be used to purchase what is needed (resources) to get the new system started.

At the time of writing we are planning to connect with the Venus Project in Florida who have a similar concept to the above.

In fact, they have taken the vision into the world of automation where mundane activities can be carried out to provide products and services that will be needed in the new society.

A New Parallel Energy System

Many people are now aware of a new energy system that is being researched that taps Zero-Point Energy.

Those of you who don't know about this technology please read the article below, i.e. The World of Free Energy by Peter Lindemann, D.Sc.

Briefly, Zero Point Energy (ZPE) is potentially an inexpensive, inexhaustible, non-polluting, portable source of energy. ZPE is a natural source of energy that is accessible throughout the universe. Potentially a by-product of ZPE technology is commonly known as anti-gravity, or more accurately stated it is gravity control.

I have personally been associated with many people in this exciting new field for many years and know it is only a matter of receiving sufficient support before it eventuates.

This is where the new mutual support system would come into play. I believe anything that belongs in the new system won’t "fit" in the old system and vice-versa – just like placing a tennis net across a football field wouldn’t “fit” the game of football.

That's why we are not seeing any of these technologies coming to fruition in our current (old paradigm) society. Conversely, I believe once we have established the new mutual support structure then, and only then, will these technologies germinate and grow.

New Parallel Health System

I have been working for several years on the concept of a new health system that is based on "health creation" rather than disease eradication.

As a result, I have produced a document called the United Health Association Charter (copy below).

Concurrently, I have been seeking and attracting health practitioners who work in accord with this charter. More details are available for those interested.

This is a very exciting new field that addresses the very fundamental principles of health creation. For example it includes technologies that can “time reverse” DNA.

In other words a person’s original DNA blueprint is re-established so that all new cells in the body are reproduced according to the original undamaged blueprint rather than the damaged blueprint that we currently all have. The mind can only boggle at the implications of this technology.

A New Parallel Agricultural System

Human health is intrinsically tied to what we ingest through our digestive system, our lungs and our skin.

Most of the food we ingest is deprived of important nutrients.

The primary reason for this is because the soil in which our food grows, is mineral depleted and is biologically stagnant or dead.In 1999 I read a book entitled Hands On Agronomy, by Neal Kinsey. As an old-time agricultural scientist myself, I was very impressed with what I read. Neal’s main message was, “You don't need to feed the plants when you feed the soil. When you feed the soil properly it becomes a living system that feeds the plants with everything they (and we) need.” The result is super-healthy plants that resist pests and diseases and the food taste like it used to decades ago. What's more, the plants tend to transfer that health to anything or anyone that eats them.

Neal Kinsey lives and works in SE Missouri. I made it my business to seek him out during my 2001 world tour. As a result I shared with him a technology that had been developed in Australia called Alroc Mineral Fertilizer and showed him a 45 minute video. He was fascinated and said he was very interested. I asked him how his technology was being accepted by mainstream academia, and he said it wasn't (it is new paradigm technology so it won't). I explained my concept of the new and old paradigm and that it was my intention to help create a new support system that would usher in such new technologies. I left him with the understanding I would be in touch again when the timing was right. My feeling is that he is one of the champions to help usher in a new era in agriculture.

A New Parallel Communication System

A few years ago I read an article about a new system of radio communication that caught my attention. In the author’s words, "we could transmit clear voice data through extremely narrow bandwidths. In one device, we developed a radio transmitter that had a bandwidth of only 300 hertz while maintaining crystal clear transmission.

Since signal-to-noise ratio is based on bandwidths considerations, we were able to transmit clear voice over thousands of miles."What I saw in this was a potential means of creating a global communication system without the need for satellites or telecomms. In other words being able to communicate with anyone on the planet, directly, without the intermediary costs we currently endure.

This could easily be expanded for internet use too. After many years I finally tracked down the author and inventor.

I wrote to him and asked him if my perception was correct and he replied in the affirmative. I also asked him whether he had done anything to develop this technology, and if not, was he interested in working with me and World Harmony Network to do so. Again, his answer was yes.

So, here we have one possible new method of communication that would serve humanity and could be part of the new society I am suggesting.

There are others that can also be further researched such as a means of radio communication through the earth itself rather than through the atmosphere.

This system allows global communication without static interference and without loss of signal power – in other words clear, reliable global communication. These are just a few of the ideas and people involved. There are many others that can be discussed elsewhere and I'm sure there will be more to come.

The Plan

To quietly, and decisively create that world from small beginnings – just like planting the first strawberry plant is the first step to creating a strawberry patch. It also involves nurturing the plant and supplying it with what it needs to grow and expand. Once the patch has reached a certain size, plants from that patch can be transplanted to other areas.

Likewise, we start with one small country, a country that is ready, willing, and able to embark upon a grand experiment of creating a brand new system.

Because nobody has ever done this before we would be treading on new ground.

Because it will be set up as a parallel system there will be minimal risk because the existing system would still be there as a back-up.

Furthermore, resources and assets will come in from people in other countries to support and nourish the new system.

The whole idea is to do this with everything that is needed to ensure its success. No more running on the smell-of-an-oily-rag projects – those projects are doomed to fail.

We have the expertise among us within World Harmony Network (WHN) to carry this through.

For example, as mentioned above, we are communication with Renaissance Aotearoa Foundation who are linked directly and work with Maori Elders who have land where the initial experiment can, and is most likely to, take place.

Likewise, WHN has been offered a similar arrangement with Aboriginal Elders on land in Western Australia.

As a follow up, another person in the network personally knows and has access to the heads of state (Prime Ministers, Presidents, Princes, Kings, Queens, etc.) of dozens of different counties, mainly in the third world. Some of these people are very altruistic but have not been able to act on their desires because a mutual support structure has not been available to enable it to become a reality.

When the time is right this person could approach one or more of these leaders to see if they would be interested in participating once the initial pilot project is completed?

Another possibility is with Native Americans who live on Reservations. These reservations are legally separate nations from the U.S. but can interact with it.

Right now we are planning to get together with the key people to discuss the plan and work out strategies until we are pretty certain what we can do and how we can do it.

Then we promote the plan to people we know would be interested in using their resources for such a great cause (I already have a number of people in this category who have pledged their assets and allegiance to such a project).

Once we have some initial funding, we research the best way to set up the new mutual support system so we can get the ball rolling. We would also need to legally set up World Harmony Foundation (WHF) so it can legally hold and transfer assets and resources to the new society.

Once this is done we start transferring assets and resources into the new society and then bring in the new technologies most likely to succeed. This would provide a solid base upon which to build and expand bearing in mind how one establishes a strawberry patch just like a builder refers to the blueprint of the building s/he is constructing.

The Effect

What I see will happen is this:

People will start queuing up to offer us their assets to be used wisely for humanity, which includes them of course.

As the system grows we introduce other systems, such as ZPE (new “free” energy), health, agriculture, education, etc. More and more new technologies will be introduced; further building the base. As time goes on we will create a similar society in another country, one which is also ready, willing, and able. When I say ready, willing, and able I mean it in the most complete way possible.

In other words, those involved, including the leaders, must be of the new consciousness that are ready, willing and able to shift to the new system. They also need to be aware of how it all works and that they are part of the pioneering group of this exciting new endeavour. So it would grow... from one country, to two, to three, to four, to eight, etc... an exponential expansion.

Soon, other countries will be falling over themselves to join in.

Besides, those countries that still operate within the old system will not be able to compete, as those of the new system of inter-cooperation will be so much more efficient. Furthermore, there will not be counter-productive practices such as taxes – there’s no need for them in this new system.

What's more, the new technologies will soon make the old ones obsolete.

Additionally, these technologies will actually be environmentally beneficial as an added bonus. Life will become a constantly expanding and exciting experience – imagine everyone doing the things in life that they really want to do with full integrity and being supported in doing those things, i.e. doing the things that bring them joy and happiness, while knowing, at the same time they are also serving the community in the best possible way they can.

Imagine children loving school because they also follow their passion and being encouraged to do so by their teachers. Schools like this already exist that surpass the best achievements of regular schools, e.g. Reddam Schools in South Africa and Australia, see http://www.reddamhouse.com.au/

Imagine agriculturists who are thrilled by their achievements without harming nature – in fact working with nature instead of against it – fruit and vegetables being so healthy they don't need poisonous sprays to protect them – and what's more, tasting delicious and providing our bodies with what they really need?

Imagine a world without pollution – where all our waste is not just recycled but is re-manufactured into value-added products that feed fish farms, farm animals, provide humus for our soils, and even high protein supplements that contain every mineral and nutrient we need, and a whole lot more.

That technology already exists too, and would be part of this new system.Imagine a world where all its energy was free and non-polluting?

Vast irrigation systems could be built using desalinated sea water; people could live in dessert areas or in the frozen Antarctic because abundant heating and cooling would be possible.

Super-high speed travel would become a reality with the unlimited energy supply and antigravity technology. Fantasy? No, this technology already exists but has been suppressed for years (doesn’t fit in the old system).

The New Paradigm Principles

The thing that will make all this work, and it won’t without this part of the puzzle is the understanding and application of the New Paradigm Principles. Without going into detail here, these win-win principles might be called the Instruction Manual, or Rule Book of the new game. If participants don’t understand and/or have the skills to “play this new game” then the system will revert back into the old system again. This is the reason so many new communities fail – and fail badly. To ensure success, we are planning to run an on-line Orbitalk Conference called the New Paradigm Pioneers Course. Participants will study these principles, discuss them, be given homework to apply them, come back in another session and discuss what happened, and finally establish local workshops where participants can play out being themselves living in this new society. Like any new game you need to practice the skills to become a proficient player.

ADDENDUM

The Blueprint

If we agree the Strawberry Patch model is the system we want to create, then the thing to remember is that the Strawberry Patch is the blueprint from which we will build this new mutual support system. It is not the system itself. In other words, as we build the system we need to keep referring back to the blueprint to see if that is what we are constructing (just like a builder refers to the architectural blueprint), otherwise we would tend to fall back into the old way. This is not to say the concept can’t be, or won’t be improved. What I am saying is this can be a starting point from which we can begin to create a new mutual support system. Right now, I don't have all the answers, but I trust the answers will appear as soon as we need them... I understand this is how the new paradigm works. Bearing this in mind, I do have a few explanations as follows:

What is Value Adding?

Value adding is where a raw material or a commodity is converted into something that people place more value on than the former material or commodity. From an environmental viewpoint it is also a process that enhances, or at least doesn't damage, the environment.

For example:
Let’s say a barrel of crude oil is worth, $30.
When it is refined into diesel oil it would be valued at say, $70.
Once it is burned the energy is used to make something but that's the end of the oil (except it damages the environment).

Now, if we take the same barrel of oil at $30. We now make petrochemicals out of it valued at say $90. Now we make a *superwood raw material from those petrochemicals valued at say, $140. We now extrude superwood door frames from that material and that would be valued at say, $300. This value is a lot higher than the energy that is produced from the same amount of product (a barrel of oil). What’s more, in years to come those door frames can be melted down and re-used to make new door frames, or a table, or skirting boards, or something else, which eventually could also be re-manufactured into the same product again. In other words, the focus would be on creating products that are valuable and environmentally benign or beneficial and are reusable.

*There is already a superwood product available in Australia called Everwood.

Every time you manufacture something that is "consumed", e.g. cigarettes or guns, or war planes, etc. they don't have on-going benefits, therefore the overall wealth of that country is diminished. Liken the current economic system to a living plant; the plant can harbour so many parasites without harm, but, if there are too many (more than it can support) it would suffer dis-ease and perhaps die. On the other hand, if it is supporting symbiotic organisms the opposite is true, eg. Legumes, like beans and peas that support the growth of nitrogen fixing bacteria on its roots that convert nitrogen, from the air, into nitrates that feed the plant. Again, if we can use examples from nature as our blueprints (guidelines), then we won't go far wrong.

Another example I use is to imagine yourself on a dessert island 500 years ago with 10 other people and with little chance of being rescued. If you then had one chance to recover one boat full of supplies from the ship on the reef before it slipped into deep water, what would you recover? Would you fill your boat with silver and gold, or would you grab tools, food, wood, cloths, etc. Obviously money would have little or no value on a dessert island. So, it is not the money that's valuable but only what it can buy. It is the resources that help you live or build, that are the most valuable. Obviously some things would be of greater value than other things, but overall if we focus on this principle and give support to the things that would provide the greatest benefits (value) then we would grow at a sustainable rate far more easily.

What are Resources?

What I mean by resources is anything of value that can be ethically used by our new system. It can be materials, equipment, technology, expertise, tools, motor vehicles, aircraft, boats, ships, money, real estate, etc. Unmoveable resources such as real estate and mineral deposits can be used to generate money that can be used to buy resources for the new system.

LETSystem

The LETSystem (Local Exchange Trading System) is a system of recording trading transactions as debits and credits for its members and offers interest-free credit. This system allocates a nominal amount of "credit" to each new member's account that can then be used to purchase goods and services from other members. Conversely, as that member provides goods and/or services to other members they build their own account. It is a great system but, because it has been limited to small, local areas, members are unable to pay for services such as electricity, gas, water, phone bills, etc. However, I believe LETS could be expanded greatly by introducing sufficient resources and recruiting more and more businesses to make it THE new system. This would be a much freer system than the existing one but it would still take considerable time and effort to administer it. The LETSystem also requires control and manipulation and to that degree limits it usefulness compared with the Strawberry Patch Model above.

Currently, I see the LETSystem as being a transitional means by which the new system (SP model) can be fed and monitored. Initially the new system would need to be controlled, just like watering, feeding and nurturing the first strawberry plant so it doesn’t die before its root system takes hold.

Ultimately, no one would need to "own" anything as we would all have the "use of" whatever is needed to further our personal passion with integrity (although there would be things that no one else wants, such as sentimental items). I see that this is already happening on a corporate level to some degree. I have friends in Kansas who had a multi-million dollar trucking business but were sued and lost almost all of it for no fault of their own. After researching back to pre-Magna Carta days they found a trust system that allowed them to use everything and owned nothing, as all the assets were owned by the trust (I have all the details on tape for anyone interested?). The point is, they had total use of their assets and funds to do what they wished and yet they owned nothing.

What I am proposing is the ultimate. It is what we aim for. As long as we know that, then whatever we set up in the meantime would be a transitional tool to get us where we would eventually go. Also, and very importantly, it all depends on the people coming in having the right consciousness. They have to be in tune with this. This is where the training, role-playing and counselling sessions would come in. We must be very firm about this (remember, one bad apple). Each key person who comes in must be assessed in some way. Some of them would already be there, others may be part way there and would perhaps need some help. A large part of that help would be education so they understand the Principles and how the system would operate. It may mean at some stage the "have's" would become willing to let go of their personal wealth, while conversely, the "have-nots" would learn to accept greater abundance. It is all about each person focusing on their own passion/s and being honest to who and what they are.

Under this system there will be no surpluses. When I say surpluses I mean things of general use, not private possessions that are unique to the individuals concerned. So, surpluses are automatically used by the system to create more wealth, and so on, and so on (just as surplus nourishment of a strawberry plant is flowed into the whole patch)! Nature is brilliant... God knows what he/she/it is doing!!
